If your hedges have gone from "neat boundary" to "the neighbours can't
✔ Fully insured local team ✔ Clear hourly pricing ✔ 6-day availability ✔ Fast waste removal
If your garden has got away from you, you are not unusual. Brambles take a season to take hold and three years to become someone else's problem. Most of the gardens we clear across South East London have not been touched in two years or more, and a good number have not been touched since the last
owner moved out.
We are a family-run team based in Eltham SE9. We have been clearing gardens across South London since 2014, which means we have seen your garden before, whatever state it is in. Terraced gardens in Lewisham with no side access. Victorian plots in Blackheath with forty years of ivy on the back wall. Rental properties in Peckham where the tenants left and the garden did not get mentioned in the checkout report.
Send us a few photos and we will tell you what it costs and how long it takes, usually within 24 hours.
The bulk of most clearance jobs. Waist-high grass, bramble thickets, bindweed through the borders, self-seeded sycamore that has got past sapling stage. We cut back to ground level and dig out roots where the plant will otherwise return within weeks.
Brambles are the ones people underestimate. A three-year bramble has a root crown the size of a football and will regrow from anything left behind. Cutting the top off is a month's reprieve, not a fix.
Ivy on a fence is straightforward. Ivy on brickwork is not, and it is priced differently. Mature ivy puts adhesive rootlets into mortar joints, and pulling it off badly takes the pointing with it. We cut it at the base, let it die back, then remove it cleanly. If yours has reached the roofline or is into the soffits, say so when you send photos. That changes the job.

Overgrown hedges get reduced to a manageable size and shape rather than just trimmed. Leylandii is the common one in SE London and it has a hard limit: cut back past the green into brown wood and it will not regrow. We will tell you honestly whether yours can be reduced or whether removal is the only real option.
We handle small trees, saplings and stumps. Anything larger, near power lines, or under a Tree Preservation Order needs a qualified tree surgeon, and we will tell you rather than take the job. Most SE London boroughs have conservation areas where tree work needs council notice first.

Rotten sheds, broken furniture, old decking, rubble left by builders, plastic sheeting. If it is in the garden and you want it gone, it goes.
If you are planning turf, decking, fencing or a full redesign, clearance comes first and it is worth doing properly. Half-cleared ground means weeds coming up through new turf by the second summer.

Being straight with you saves us both a wasted visit.
Legally controlled waste. It needs a specialist contractor with an insurance-backed guarantee, and moving it incorrectly is an offence. If you think you have it, send a photo and we will tell you whether it is knotweed or one of the lookalikes, usually bindweed or bamboo. Bamboo we can handle.
Common in older SE London garages, shed roofs and garden sheeting. Corrugated cement sheets are the usual culprit. It needs a licensed removal contractor, not a gardener.
Old paint, solvents, fuel, pesticides. Your local council runs a household hazardous waste service for these.
These need separate disposal routes under WEEE regulations.

Garden clearance is charged at £85 per hour for a two-man team with equipment included. Waste disposal is quoted based on volume and confirmed before removal.
Garden Size | Estimated Time | Typical Cost |
|---|---|---|
Small (overgrown borders, light clearance) | 2-3 hours | £170 - £255 |
Medium (neglected garden, mixed vegetation) | 4-5 hours | £340 - £425 |
Large (heavily overgrown or long-abandoned) | 6+ hours | £510+ |
No side access, which means everything comes through the house. A garden on a slope. Brambles or ivy with established root systems. Anything that needs removing rather than just cutting back. Parking restrictions or a congestion charge zone.
Clear side or rear access. A garden that has been maintained at some point in the last few years. Flexibility on dates, since we can slot you into a quieter week.
